Morgan Hill Police Arrested Timothy Barnes of Sunnyvale With Alleged Loaded gun in his Waistband

A Sunnyvale man was recently arrested in Morgan Hill after he was stopped on his motorcycle and found with a firearm, police said Wednesday. According to a post on the Morgan Hill Police Department’s Facebook page, an officer stopped a motorcycle that did not have license plates in the area of Monterey and Cochrane roads.

The motorcyclist tried to avoid the officer, but the officer managed to conduct a high-risk felony vehicle stop, police said. The biker, identified as 27-year-old Timothy Barnes of Sunnyvale, had a loaded revolver in his waistband. He also had a few warrants for his arrest, police said. Barnes was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
