San Jose State University Police Seeking Man Who Chased Female Jogger

Police at San Jose State University are searching for a man who ran after and tried to grab a woman while she was jogging near campus Tuesday evening. The attack was reported around 7:45 p.m. in the area of South Seventh and East San Fernando streets, on the north edge of campus. The man lunged at and tried to grab the woman, and when she ran away, he kept running after her until she got into a passing student’s car in Lot 4, police said.

The man was last seen at the corner of East San Fernando and South 10th streets. He was described as a black man in his 40s, standing 6 foot 3 inches tall with a thin build.

The suspect was wearing a gray watch cap, brown camouflage puffy jacket and dark blue jeans. He had a mole on the left side of his face, police said.
