A Monterey County man has been found guilty of committing lewd acts on a minor, Monterey County District Attorney Dean Flippo announced Thursday. Kyle Gray, 33, was found guilty of two counts of committing lewd acts on a 15-year-old, prosecutors said.

The incident occurred on Dec. 13 at a Starbucks in downtown Monterey. Prosecutors said Gray approached the victim after he asked how old she was, and he attempted to kiss her neck and hug her. He also touched her chest, prosecutors said. The victim broke away from Gray, but he approached her again later, grabbed the victim’s hand and pulled it toward his groin area.

The victim was able to get away, and she immediately reported the incident to a security guard and police. Gray faces a maximum of three years and eight months in prison when he is sentenced in April.
