Arkeya Barrow and Quentavious Gray Wanted for Alleged Burglary

ID #16-711 Arkeya Barrow

ID #16-712 Quentavious Gray

Their luck ran out after they reportedly cashed in some stolen lottery tickets. Conyers police said a burglary suspect is behind bars and they have arrest warrants for his alleged accomplices.

Investigators said the trio stole the tickets during a burglary at a liquor store earlier this month.

Conyers Police Sergeant Kim Lucas delivered some good news to the owner of the Sigman Botttle Shop on Sigman Road Tuesday morning. DeKalb County police busted one of the suspects on Saturday in the December 8 burglary.

“Both Conyers and DeKalb have warrants on Mr. Newell right now,” said Sgt. Lucas.

The suspect, Torrey Newell was booked into the Rockdale County Jail as the search continues for his alleged accomplices: 21-year-old Arkeya Barrow and 24-year-old Quentavious Gray.

“At that point, we did have one in custody shortly thereafter. We got the male and female identified and they are wanted at this point,” said Sgt. Lucas.

Police said the trio stole liquor, cigarettes and lottery tickets from the Conyers store at around 3:30 in the morning on December 8. Police said a surveillance camera later caught them cashing winning lottery tickets a few hours later at convenience stores in Decatur.

“We do see all three people involved in our burglary in possession of those lottery tickets,” said Sgt. Lucas.

Police got a big break in the case after they said Newell broke into this DeKalb County liquor store on Covington Highway early Saturday morning. A manager shared photos of the damage from the burglary.

DeKalb County police spotted a car matching the one tied to the break-ins that same night and officers took Newell into custody.

“Same method, breaking-in early morning hours, but certainly the same suspect that we do have in custody right now thanks to DeKalb County for locating him,” said Sgt. Lucas.

Conyers police have issued arrest warrants for suspects Gray and Barrow.
