Three suspects in an alleged gang-related shooting that killed a man in Salinas on Friday night are at large, police said. Officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 700 block of Holly Street shortly before 8:30 p.m., police said. Arriving officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and attempted CPR on him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the man was walking by his home where three suspects dressed in black confronted him, police said. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots at the man, according to police. The man was identified as 43-year-old Jose Delores Salazar, police said.
