San Francisco police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday, a police spokesman said today.
Details of the homicide were not immediately being released this morning but it apparently involved a crime scene at Jamestown Avenue and Harney Way near Candlestick Park, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
The 22-year-old victim was initially taken to Kaiser Permanente’s South San Francisco Medical Center and then to San Francisco General Hospital but was pronounced dead, Esparza said.
The San Mateo County coroner’s office has the victim’s body and is also investigating the case, a coroner’s official said.
No other details about the case, including the exact time of the shooting and information about a possible suspect, were immediately available this morning.
