Police have arrested an Oakland man in connection with a December fatal shooting in Antioch. Police on Tuesday said Michael Vickers, 27, of Oakland, was arrested on Dec. 22 on suspicion of murder. Police said Vickers shot and killed Ricardo Walls, 23, of Pittsburg, on Dec. 14. Police responded Dec. 14 at 2:38 p.m. to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 2100 block of Peppertree Way and located Walls suffering from a gunshot wound.

Walls was transported to the hospital, where he later died. Police said Walls was in the garage of the residence visiting friends when subjects approached the victims and shot Walls. Police said the investigation led to identifying Vickers as the shooter.
