Watch Video Below
Gulf Breeze Police Sergeant Kerstan Tatro pulled the driver over on the Pensacola Bay Bridge in Florida on Monday afternoon after seeing the car driving erratically and suspecting a DUI.
The police cruiser’s dashcam recorded Sgt Tatro standing beside the silver Lexus CV with Amy Lee Giorgio, 30, sitting behind the wheel and allegedly under the influence of drugs.
As the officer spoke to the woman he noticed her reaching for the keys in the ignition.
Believing she was trying to escape, Sgt Tatro leaned into the car to stop the Giorgio while she accelerated with the cop hanging out the window.
Sgt Tatro was carried a short distance before falling to the ground, breaking his arm somewhere during the scuffle.
Unfortunately, Sgt Tatro’s daughter happened upon the scene to see her father injured.
