Officers arrested a graffiti tagger Monday on suspicion of more than 400 acts of vandalism in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County and elsewhere in the Bay Area, police said. Police arrested 32-year-old Rohnert Park resident Richard James Price at his residence.
Price allegedly used the “ASK” moniker in at least 438 acts of vandalism causing more than $17,000 in damage over the past year, according to Santa Rosa police. Police said they found evidence of the crimes in Price’s home and they booked him into Sonoma County Jail on two counts of felony vandalism.
Santa Rosa police are asking the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office to file an additional 398 counts of misdemeanor vandalism against Price. Santa Rosa police are asking anyone with information about the case or other graffiti taggers to call the property crimes team at (707) 543-3575.
