Police early this morning arrested a man wanted on felony warrant after the suspect led officers on a foot pursuit in Petaluma.
Police said officers received an anonymous tip around 12:10 a.m. about a wanted suspect who was seen inside a bar on Kentucky Street.
The suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Petaluma resident James Gunter, had an outstanding felony arrest warrant out of Sonoma County for criminal threats against a person.
Police said officers saw him leaving the bar, and when they tried to make contact with him, he fled the area on foot.
Police pursued Gunter and were able to catch him as he tried run across the Balshaw Bridge.
There were no injuries during the incident.
Police said Gunter was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and was also arrested on suspicion of resisting a police officer.
