Two men were arrested on New Year’s Eve for allegedly attacking a man and trying to steal his bicycle in Livermore, police said Thursday. Around 11 p.m. Wednesday, officers were driving in the 800 block of Rincon Avenue when they saw two suspects trying to take a man’s bike.

The victim was struggling to hold onto the bike while the pair attacked him, according to police. The officers went and arrested the suspects, Rudy Michel, 30, of Union City, and Rodolfo Andrade, 31, of Livermore. Both were booked into Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of attempted robbery, police said.
