San Jose firefighters are investigating two car fires reported early this morning that appear to have been intentionally set, a fire spokesman said.
The first fire was reported around 1:15 a.m. near 1550 S. Bascom Ave. and another was reported at 2:32 a.m. nearby at 1510 S. Bascom Ave., San Jose fire Capt. Christopher Salcido said.
A third car fire also happened in the area overnight but is in the jurisdiction of the Santa Clara County Fire Department, Salcido said.
Salcido said arson investigators are looking into the blazes. He did not immediately know whether they are connected or if they are possibly related to other car fires reported in the area last week.
