Livermore police said today they are asking for the public’s help in providing any information related to an incident on Tuesday that left a woman in critical condition with severe injuries to her face and head.

Officers responded to a report of a person injured and lying on the ground unconscious in the Livermore Premium Outlets parking lot, located at 2774 Paragon Outlets Drive, at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Officer Steve Goard said the injuries are life-threatening and police are still trying to determine exactly what happened.

“We’re hoping someone saw something,” Goard said. “We’re trying to figure it out ourselves.”

Police said officers did receive information from the public regarding a white four-door sedan that was seen leaving the area around the same time as the incident.
