A 43-year-old man shot to death in East San Jose last Friday was identified by police today as Thach Duong. Officers were dispatched at 7:55 p.m. Friday on reports of shots fired in the 2600 block of Alum Rock and found Duong, a San Jose resident, dead at the scene from at least one gunshot wound, San Jose police Sgt. Heather Randol said. The Police Department’s homicide unit is investigating the shooting but the motive and circumstances have not been determined and no suspects have been located, according to Randol.
