Santa Rosa police arrested a man on suspicion of possessing a loaded firearm and metal knuckles late Saturday night, said a Santa Rosa police sergeant.
Police responded around 11:55 p.m. to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 4900 block of Sea Wolf Drive, Sgt. Tommy Isachsen said.
Isachsen said the four occupants of the black Honda Accord ducked down when police arrived and acted nervous when police contacted them.
None of the occupants lived in that northeast area of Santa Rosa and their reason for being there didn’t make sense, the sergeant said. Police searched the car and found a loaded .38 Special revolver and metal knuckles.
The driver, Christian Abrica, 19, of Santa Rosa, admitted buying and possessing the weapon and he was arrested on possession of the firearm and metal knuckles.
Two other 19-year-old Santa Rosa residents and a 17-year-old Santa Rosa resident were identified and released to their parents, Isachsen said.
