Two Concord men were arrested in Walnut Creek early this morning after allegedly burglarizing multiple cars in a residential neighborhood.
Police said officers were called to Masters Court around 1:40 a.m. after a citizen reported two people looking into cars in the area.
Responding officers set up a perimeter and used police dogs to track the two suspects, identified as 29-year-old Jose Chavez and 18-year-old Isidro Figueroa.
Police said officers first located Figueroa, who admitted to stealing items from a car in a nearby parking lot and was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and taken to the Walnut Creek Police Department
Chavez was found a short time later and was allegedly in possession of a loaded firearm with an altered serial number, a switchblade knife and numerous burglary tools, police said.
He was arrested and taken to county jail in Martinez.
