A man was the victim of an attempted robbery near the University of California at Berkeley campus Wednesday night, university police said. The 26-year-old victim was walking near the intersection of Dana and Parker streets at 11:33 p.m. when he was approached by two suspects, according to University of California police.
The suspects demanded the victim’s property while threatening to use a gun, police said.
One of the suspects punched the victim in the face before both suspects fled the area on foot. UC Berkeley police and Berkeley police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. Both suspects are described as black men with average builds in their 20s, around 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing dark clothing.
