James Tully, the Pennsylvania man who was frequently mistaken for alleged cop killer Eric Frein while he walked more than two hours to work daily in the Poconos region, drove off in a 2007 Subaru Outback on Wednesday after an online fundraiser raised nearly $25,000.
Tully, who said he was harassed by police during their 48-day search for Frein, expressed gratitude for the huge support at a small ceremony at a car dealership in East Stroudsburg. Frein is accused of killing State Police Cpl. Bryon Dickson and wounding Trooper Alex Douglass in an ambush on the Blooming Grove barracks on Sept. 12. He was captured by police on Oct. 30.
