A Travis County, Texas grand jury has cleared 3 police officers for shooting a suspect in 2013.
Suspect Jamarl Tyler shot his neighbor, then pointed a rifle at responding police officers. In self-defense, the officers shot Tyler and the incident was caught on police car dash cameras. (story continues below video)
Tyler was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of aggravated assault on a public servant, according to court records.
He pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault on a public servant and received deferred adjudication and 8 years probation court records show. The other charges were dropped.
