Newark Police Officer Jarrod Conley Shot During Pursuit Caught on Camera

Newark police have released the names of the officer and suspect who were injured in a shooting in Newark Wednesday afternoon.

Officer Jarrod Conley was struck in the left arm while attempting to serve a search warrant at a home located on North 11th Street where Newark police was investigating a suspected counterfeiting ring.

Before officers could serve the warrant, police said, 27-year-old Randall Hutchison ran from the home and took off in a vehicle.

The encounter and shooting was caught on dash-cam video that was released by Newark police Thursday afternoon. (story continued below video)

Following the shooting, Suspect Hutchison ran from the scene. He was struck by a vehicle driven by undercover officer Doug Bline after Hutchison allegedly raised and pointed a weapon at Bline.

Suspect Hutchison remains in critical condition.
