A Hayward man shot to death in downtown San Jose last Thursday night has been identified as 24-year-old Tyrone Fryman, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office. Fryman died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s office. At about 11:35 p.m. Thursday, San Jose police responded to a reported shooting near Santa Clara and Second streets, about a block south of St. James Park downtown, police said.
Officers found Fryman suffering from at least one gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital, according to police. The Police Department’s homicide unit is investigating the death, police said.
