Three teens have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Antioch on Sunday that left a woman wounded in the crossfire, police said today. Police said a group of male suspects were seen opening fire on another group of males near the corner of 18th and A streets around 11:45 a.m. Sunday. A woman who did not appear to be a part of either group was hit by the gunfire, police said.
She was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. Officers responded to the area and found a group who were determined to be the targets in the shooting. No one in the group was injured. The investigation later led officers to a car with three suspects inside. Police have identified two of the suspects as 19-year-old Daniel Washington and 18-year-old Karmani Ely. Police are not releasing the name of the third suspect, age 17, because he is a juvenile. All three were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
