An 18-year-old man was stabbed at a party in Salinas on Saturday night, according to police.
Salinas police officers were at Natividad Medical Center around 9:45 p.m. Saturday when they heard screams for help in the parking lot and found family members helping a teenage victim with a stab wound to the chest, police said.
The man was taken inside the hospital for treatment and remained hospitalized today, according to police.
Police said their investigation into the stabbing led officers to a party in the 700 block of Elkington Avenue with more than 100 attendees.
The investigation indicated that someone at the scene tried to conceal evidence of the stabbing before officers arrived, police said.
None of the partygoers cooperated with the police investigation and no witnesses were located.
