The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday arrested four people believed to be involved in a string of thefts in and around Carmel. Deputies arrested Cody Pennington, 32, of Monterey, Roxann Lynn Warren, 19, of Carmel Valley, Matthew John Hook, 27, of Soledad, and Brett Ryan Gesicki, 32, of Carmel Valley, on suspicion of multiple crimes including suspicion of possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, probation violations and outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants.

The arrests stemmed from a joint investigation by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office and Carmel police into recent thefts from vehicles and work sites in and around Carmel. Law enforcement officials said the investigation led to an RV parked in the backyard of a Monterey home where the suspects were arrested.
