Deputies arrested a man for multiple offenses after a traffic stop in Half Moon Bay Saturday evening, sheriff’s officials said. Douglas William Crisler, 43, of Moss Beach, was seen swerving and struggling to maintain lane position in the 200 block of Capistrano Road around 8:34 p.m., according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

A responding deputy found Crisler driving with a suspended license and an open container of alcohol in the front seat while his four-year-old child was in the vehicle without a booster seat. The child’s mother arrived on scene and took the child into custody, officials said. Crisler admitted to using methamphetamine and was found in possession of a pipe and suspected methamphetamines. Crisler was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and an open container, along with child endangerment and driving with a suspended license.
