Police have arrested two men in a robbery and assault in Brooklyn, and they’re hoping surveillance video will lead to the arrest of the third suspect.

Dees, Hassan Dees, 24, and Kiah Morain, 24, of Brooklyn, are both charged with assault and robbery. A third person of interest is wanted for questioning in connection with the incident, Sanjae Douglas, 25. (story continued below video)

The victim was walking home from the subway late at night when she was confronted by three young men.

In the surveillance video, she is shown being thrown against a storefront, and then beat mercilessly. She struggled to hold onto her purse, but the men took it and escaped into the night with her MetroCard, cellphone, and $5 in cash.

  • Ms. Reyes had two choices available to her in this instance: (1) She could have crossed the street as she saw the three men approaching (two in hoodies) in which case she would’ve opened herself up to the charge of racism. (2) She could have acted as she did and been beaten and robbed.
