A soldier’s family is outraged that his Macon County home was targeted by thieves as he serves overseas. His relatives are hoping that surveillance footage will help catch the criminals.

On October 21, 2014 suspects pretended to have car trouble as a tactic to approach the home on County Road 9 just outside of Shorter and see if anyone was there.

They eventually broke into the home, pushing a window unit air conditioner through a bedroom window and crawling through the window.

Once inside, they went room to room and stole television sets, a pistol that the soldier had left for his girlfriend and child’s protection and food from the freezer.
