A man suspected of burglarizing a home and stealing a car in Fremont Sunday morning remains at large, police said. A man of undetermined racial background with a thin build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt was spotted by neighbors in the 4600 block of Cerritos Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Fremont police.

Neighbors reported to police that the suspect had backed the victim’s car into the property’s closed garage door and fled, police said. Responding officers determined that the house had been burglarized and that entry was made possible through a large dog door, according to police. A silver 2002 Dodge Intrepid with the license plate 4XTH961 was stolen, along with a safe, police said. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Fremont police at (510) 790-6800.
