3 People in Hospital After 2 Shootings and Assault in Oakland

Three victims are in stable condition following two shootings and an assault in Oakland that happened between Thursday evening and early this morning, police said. Shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday, one person was found shot in the 8900 block of D Street, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to police. No suspect information was available as of this morning, police said.

Officers responded to a report of an assault in the 1500 block of 36th Avenue near International Boulevard around 12:20 a.m., when the suspect armed with a knife assaulted the victim, according to police. The victim was transported to a hospital for minor injuries, police said.

At about 12:30 a.m. today, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5600 block of Martin Luther King near Interstate Highway 980, according to police. A victim suffering from a gunshot wound was transported to a hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition, police said. No arrests were made in any of the three incidents, according to police.
