Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help to identify suspects roaming the streets on bicycles assaulting citizens and involved in a savage attack on a man in the middle of the street and was caught on camera. (story continued below video)
Police say a group of 10 to 15 minors on bikes were riding through the streets hitting cars with sticks when the victim asked them to stop. Police say the same group surrounded a couple on Lombard Street a half an hour earlier while they were stopped at an intersection and tried to pull the woman passenger from the car. A short time later, police arrested a 16-year-old and two 12-year-olds but believe more are involved.
The victim was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital with a fractured jaw.
The three juveniles were charged with aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy. Police say more arrests may follow as they review the surveillance video.
