Update: Suspect has been arrested.
Petaluma police are investigating a Thursday robbery at a U.S. Bank location inside a Safeway grocery store. Police responded at 4:05 p.m. to the Safeway at 389 S. McDowell Blvd. after receiving a call of a robbery. Police said the suspect mentioned having a gun during the robbery, but he didn’t display it.
There was video surveillance footage of the suspect captured during the robbery, and police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Police said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
