Three suspects were arrested on suspicion of felony assault in Berkeley on Saturday, according to Berkeley police.
The assault reportedly occurred at 12:33 a.m. in the 2500 block of Durant Avenue when the 19-year-old victim, a University of California at Berkeley student, was standing on the sidewalk and a large fight suddenly broke out, police said.
The victim yelled at the group to stop fighting, causing the group to separate while several involved parties began directing their attacks towards the victim, according to police.
One of the suspects struck the victim in the head with a bottle before all of them fled the scene, police said.
Three suspects were later arrested in the 2400 block of Durant, according to police.
The suspects have been identified as Nicholas Carson, 25, Hack Culling, 21, and Sergie Flores, 23.
