Man allegedly drops baby during pursuit, parents arrested on burglary charges

Jefferson Parish, Louisiana deputies report they arrested Clinton Mingo and Thadnesha Williams after an alleged burglary they committed while they had their 7-month-old baby.

According to deputies, they responded to a burglary in progress and got into a high speed pursuit as they fled the scene.

Following a brief pursuit Suspect Mingo jumped out of the car, authorities said.

Mingo was seen running away “swinging an infant wildly in the air by one arm,” the report said, before one of the officers began struggling with him.

Mingo then dropped the baby on the ground and ran away, the record states. Authorities found Mingo hiding underneath a home nearby a short while later, the statement said, and he was taken into custody.
