West Jordan, Utah officer’s body camera shows intense moment as officer shot armed suspect. District Attorney Sim Gill said West Jordan police officer Ian Adams was justified in shooting 31-year-old Timothy James Peterson. The suspects father felt the decision was wrong.
Peterson allegedly was wanted on multiple warrants and he made threats toward police on social media. One of his post a caller told police Peterson allegedly said he would, “shoot the cops if they come.” Peterson was found with a piece of metal with a laser attached. He also allegedly threw a knife while running from officers and had another on him when arrested.
