A 34-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a burglary at a student housing complex in Albany, according to University of California police. Officers responded to a report of a person prowling in the area of Ohlone Avenue and Kinkead Way around 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, UC police said. An officer arrived and found a man who matched the prowler’s description, according to UC police.
The man, later identified as Jerry Fairley, was found with a concealed handgun and learned he burglarized a home at the complex, UC police said. Fairley was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of a concealed weapon and possession of burglary tools. He also as a $50,000 warrant out of San Francisco, according to UC police.
