Police on Thursday arrested three burglary suspects after a resident reported seeing them in the backyard of a Fremont home. Fremont police responded at 11:41 a.m. to a residence in the area of Paseo Padre Parkway and Hancock Drive after a neighbor called to report two males jumping a fence into a backyard.
Police said responding officers located the suspects, but the suspects tried to flee the area on foot. One of the suspects ran into a police dog and was bitten before he was taken into custody. The other suspect was apprehended after a brief struggle with officers.
Police said officers then detained a third suspect seen walking away from a parked car in the area. Police said several stolen items were found in the car. The three suspects, two who were juveniles, were arrested on suspicion of residential burglary. The identities of the suspects have not been released.
