Police have arrested a 20-year-old man suspected in connection with several recent armed robberies in Antioch, police said. Justin Walker was arrested during a proactive enforcement operation in an unspecified high-crime area in Antioch on Wednesday night, according to police Lt. Tony Morefield. Morefield said Walker had been linked to multiple armed robberies of convenience stores in Antioch.
He was arrested and taken to county jail where he remained in custody this morning. Also arrested during the police operation was 32-year-old Patrick Johnson on suspicion of felony child abuse, according to Morefield. Officers also arrested several suspects for probation and drug violations, he said. The enforcement operation is part of the police department’s “continuing effort to try to focus on some of the high-crime areas in town,” Morefield said.
