The woman handed the cash over to the suspect, who took it and fled. She later quit.
A rash of Family Dollar stores in Detroit have been targeted recently when a man with assault rifle held it up.
Det. Frederick Person said that every time he hears about another Family Dollar robbed, he says “Here we go again.”
That suspect was later caught by police although many are wondering how stores in troubled areas can keep their employees safe.
