Three men were arrested on suspicion of burglary Thursday in East San Jose after two suspects got out of a vehicle, forced their way into a home and tried to flee with stolen property, a police spokesman said.
At 2:41 p.m. Thursday, a resident in the area of Corbal Court near Ruby Avenue, a block south of Evergreen Valley High School, called police about a suspicious vehicle with people inside, Officer Albert Morales said.
The witness reported that the vehicle stopped and two suspects had exited and broke into a neighbor’s home, Morales said.
When officers pulled up to the scene, they approached the suspect vehicle and talked to a man sitting inside and then saw two suspects flee from the house and jump over fences, according to police.
Police set up a perimeter to block the two from escaping and eventually apprehended them and recovered the stolen property, Morales said.
The three male suspects, ages 18, 20 and 22, were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of burglary, police said.
