Belmont police are investigating the theft of several vehicles from an automobile dealership that occurred early Sunday morning. Sometime between 1 and 3 a.m. on Sunday, an unknown number of suspects scaled a fence at Autobahn Motors in the 700 block of Island Parkway and procured and undetermined amount of car keys, according Belmont Police Captain Patrick Halleran.

The suspects used the keys to steal several cars that had been left at the dealership for repairs, Halleran said. Nine cars have been confirmed stolen, one of which has been recovered in the East Bay, according to Halleran. Investigators are working with the dealership to confirm exactly how many vehicles were taken. There is no suspect information available.
