Police arrested three men Thursday in connection with the theft of an inflatable boat from a business in Fairfield. Lanh Truong, 30, Leonard Palmore, 30, and Randy Raphael, 38, all of Fairfield, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, criminal conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of stolen property, according to the Fairfield Police Department. Fairfield police responded at 5 a.m. to a report of a commercial burglary in the 4900 block of Fulton Drive.

Police said an employee of the business arrived at work and saw two men, later identified as Truong and Palmore, driving away from the business in a pickup truck and towing an inflatable boat belonging to the business. Police said the driver intentionally rammed the employee’s vehicle in order to flee the scene.

The employee followed the truck onto Interstate Highway 80, where the boat fell from its trailer and was destroyed. Police said Truong and Palmore abandoned the truck and trailer in the 2400 block of South Watney Way but were located nearby by officers. Investigators identified Raphael as a third suspect involved in the theft. He was also taken into custody.
