A man who was wounded in a shooting in Antioch last Thursday has died and a man suspected of killing him is behind bars, police said today. The shooting happened around 7:25 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of 17th and C streets, where officers arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said the victim, identified as 28-year-old Justin Kroh, of Antioch, was taken to a hospital in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries early Saturday morning. On the same day, police arrested 23-year-old Erick Granados of Antioch in connection with the killing. Granados was taken to county jail in Martinez, where he is being held in lieu of $1 million bail. Police continue to investigate the case and anyone with information is encouraged to call Antioch police Detective James Stenger.
