Philadelphia Burglary Caught on Camera, Police Release Video

Philadelphia Police Northeast Detective Division is asking for the public’s assistance to identify and locate the suspects for an attempted burglary in Mayfair. (continued below video)

According to detectives, on August 4, 2014, at 1:22 pm, two unknown males on bicycles were captured on surveillance video acting suspicious on the 4000 block of Unruh Avenue. On August 5, 2014, at 2:28 am, the same males were observed walking on the 4000 block of Unruh Avenue.

One of the males with black patches on the front of his pants enters the complainant’s yard. Approximately one minute later the male fled the yard and was last seen on Unruh Avenue entering a dark colored 4 door (sedan) vehicle.

At 5:26 am, the same males were observed in the rear driveway attempting to gain entry to the complainant’s garage on the 4000 block of Unruh Avenue damaging the garage door lock. After a failed attempt at gaining entry both male then fled in an unknown direction.
