Police arrested a suspected car burglar in Oakland Tuesday.

Police said Timothy William Pettett, 36, who had $230,000 in outstanding warrants, was taken into custody as he exited a store on East Ninth Street.

He was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, auto burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
