Police officers shot at a suspect who used his vehicle to ram a parked car in a Richmond apartment complex and then tried to hit the officers Monday night, police said. The officers responded to a domestic dispute at about 9:30 p.m. near Second Street and Macdonald Avenue, police said. The man had kicked in a door at a housing complex there and then used his car to repeatedly ram a parked car in the complex’s parking lot, police said.
Once the officers arrived, the man tried to hit them with his car and the officers fired their guns, hitting his car, police said. The man drove away and crashed near Second Street and Chanslor Avenue, about two blocks away, and ran from the car. He was able to get away from the officers and police could not find him after a search of the area. The suspect remained at large this morning, police said.
