Police arrested a 24-year-old Oakland man on suspicion of attempted homicide on Monday in connection with a July shooting in Morgan Hill. On July 29 at 8 p.m., Morgan Hill police officer responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the street in the 15000 block of La Alameda Drive, police said. The victim had been shot in the stomach and was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Detectives canvassed the area and learned information leading to a possible suspect, police said. With the help of Alameda County Probation Department, police arrested Robert Johnson on Monday on suspicion of attempted homicide and robbery, police said.
