Union City Police Officers Help Restore Home for Elderly Woman

Elderly Union City, Cailfornia resident Eileen Benevedes said she hasn’t slept in a bed since 2011 because she’s been caring for her 97-year-old mother and sleeping on the couch at her mother’s home and her own home had deteriorated so bad that it was not fit for human habitation.

That will change as she now has a brand new bed to sleep in and a cleaned and completely remodeled home thanks to a pair of Union City police officers and their concern for the community they serve.

  • Officer Mike Yaege went beyond the call of duty and helped this woman get her life back and her home. He is a fine officer and should be commended and a example to all law enforcement officers every where in the United States. So much we hear about bad officers. I appreciate the news station reporting on good officers. It is a rare situation and has my applause. Good work Officer Mike Yaege and God Bless you sir.
