Convicted Cop Killer Dean Chavez Allowed to Coach Little League Baseball Team

The family of murdered Chicago Police Officer John Mathews is outraged that the man convicted of murdering him was being allowed to coach little baseball.

Dean Chavez was convicted of beating Officer Mathews to death with a baseball bat in 1988.

  • He did his time, and now he’s going on with life. As long as he doesn’t kill again its nobody’s business what he does.

  • Idk? Dude did his time. Served his sentence. The kid that murdered is now a man that may have totally changed his life and IS doing good his hie community and the kids therein. See, that’s the biggest problem is that people are continuously put down and not allowed to become better people. Who they were and who they are are the same. I say bullcrap to that. There is a term “2nd chance” for a reason. Maybe this guy is the model for it? Maybe he isn’t? js. And no neither I or any of my family are convicted felons.
