Man Stabbed and Shot to Death in San Jose’s 20th Homicide for 2014

A male victim who was stabbed and shot in San Jose on Monday night died of his injuries today, making him the city’s 20th homicide this year, according to police. Police were called to the 3200 block of Loma Verde Drive at 9:48 p.m. Monday night on the report of a person shot, according to Sgt. Heather Randol.

Officers found a male victim with at least one gun shot wound and at least one stab wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries today. The motive and circumstances of the attack remain under investigation. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
