A Vallejo man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to fatally shooting a woman and attempting to kill three other people in Vallejo earlier this month.

The Solano County District Attorney’s Office is alleging the attempted shooting murder of Reggie Posey at an apartment on Butte Street was a hate crime, Deputy District Attorney Eric Charm said.

The defendant, Michael David Wilson, 45, is white and Posey is black.

Vallejo police said Wilson killed Lillie Mae Christiansen, 57, around 10:20 p.m. on July 14 at Posey’s residence at 800 Butte Street. Her body was found on the porch.

Wilson was arrested at his home nearby where police found a gun believed to be the murder weapon.

Charm said Wilson also is charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle and personal use of a firearm in the murder, two of the attempted murders and the shooting into a vehicle.

Charm would not identify the two other attempted murder victims beside Posey.

Wilson is scheduled to appear in Solano County Superior Court in Fairfield on Aug. 21 when a date to set a preliminary hearing date will be selected, Charm said.
